Introducing Ultherapy!

What causes sagging skin?

The most common factor in sagging skin is aging. Aging causes your skin to lose collagen and elastin, facial muscles to weaken, and thanks to the constant pull of gravity, your skin sags a little more with each passing day. Sun exposure can also cause your skin to lose elasticity. Damaging your skin’s cells by breaking down your elastin and collagen makes your skin age at a higher than normal rate. That perfect sun-kissed skin is not worth the sagging and wrinkles. Weight loss, especially when sudden, can also cause the skin to sag. When you gain a fair amount of weight your skin and tissue may become too stretched out to bounce back.

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy uses your body’s regenerative response to lift the skin gently and gradually. Ultrasound imaging is used during the procedure- allowing the practitioner to see the layer of tissue being targeted during your treatment, ensuring the energy is being deposited where it will be most beneficial. When Ultherapy deposits focused ultrasound energy at optimal temperature deep beneath the skin it jumpstarts neocollagenesis- a natural process producing fresh, new collagen.

How does Ultherapy differ from other laser treatments?

Ultherapy sets itself apart from other laser treatments by using sound energy versus light energy. When lasers rely on light energy they cannot reach deeper skin layers at an optimal temperature. Light energy only treats superficial skin and is not FDA approved for lifting the skin. Sound energy has unique properties that

allow it to bypass the skin’s surface- treating depths unmatched by any other non-invasive cosmetic device.
